- A transdenominational Congregation in Riverdale, New York. The mission of our trans-denominational congregation is to engage in the creative expression of Jewish identity through prayer, study and tikkun olam, infused with music, art and celebration. Congregation Tehillah was developed by Riverdale residents who had attended the internationally renowned B’nai Jeshurun in Manhattan and who were interested in replicating many of its principles and practices and recreating its Jewish and universalist sensibility. They also want to place a heavy emphasis on music and singing as a way to develop strong spiritual feelings and enhance their sense of belonging to a
"holy community."
