- Bringing the personal into Jewish community life, the Highland Park Minyan: features participatory havurah-style egalitarian Sabbath and holiday celebrations, conducted by members for members, meets at 10:00am on the 1st, 3rd, and 5th Shabbat each month for traditional services, lively discussion, singing, and kosher pot-luck dairy lunch, meets on 2nd and 4th Shabbat each month in members' homes for a variety of abbreviated services (10:00 to 11:30am), encourages both men and women to participate fully in all ritual activities, is innovative, yet strongly rooted in Jewish tradition, welcomes all Jews and all those who are interested in Judaism, encourages singles, young couples and seniors to become full, active members, sponsors High Holiday Services, annual retreats, and assorted simchas, uses Siddur Eit Ratzon (website) for our services that was developed by one of our members, is affiliated with the National Havurah Committee.
